Brief Description: Hofborg is a town built not long ago that is nestled among older ruins and structures. A walled gate from the Hofborg docks leads into the fortified location which boasts a number of craft and tradesmen, and access to the temple. The main point of interest is the Great Hall. Upon entering The Borg you will encounter the main guard, Jorm Iron-Anvil, a steadfast and dedicated watchman of the town. Along with him is Gadrol, a social Orc of the Ghrasharog Company who is often stationed outside the Guard House. He will compliment you on your victories and bash you on your failures.

Points of Interest
- Bakery
- Walking through the town, you will see the Great Hall in the east right after passing the stage platform of the Town Crier. In the west, there is the entrance to the Motherhouse at the wooden gates embedded within the large rock outcropping. Moving along the cobblestone path your first stone building will be the Bakery. Here we make all our bread and specialize in traditional Nord sweet cakes.
- Partnering with a Redguard woman, Nuz, the lovely young Nord, Brinya Keldora, works at the bakery and moseys the streets offering refreshment. Brinya loves to bake and serve the townspeople of Hofborg. She is often very talkative and flirty but rumor has it that she's involved with the stable boy. Don't forget to leave a tip in the box for your food if she isn't around. When you do see her, ask to try her apple-cinnamon pie!
- Great Hall Entrance
- Following the path that leads north out of the Spirit Woods you will be entering the Borg where the Great Hall is located. You will be able to recognize the Hall because it will be the largest structure in the town. A mammoth skull carved with runic symbols hangs above the threshold inviting kin and guests for hospitality. Inside the sound of laughter and rousing mixes with the din of constant hustle and bustle that is familiar to this little trading port.
- Guard House
- Conveniently tucked in beside the Great Hall is the town Guard House where the town's volunteer militia and the Thane's personal guard is stationed. Within are barracks, an armory, and fortified cells for the detention of lawbreakers.
- Temple Entrance
- Across from the Great Hall on the west side of the path coming from the Borg, you will find the entrance to the Motherhouse. Carved into a towering rock formation, a large oaken gate opens to an ancient corridor at the base of the mountain where the High Temple perches far above on the side of Thyrrfjell.
- The Inn, Kyne's Keg
- Nestled between the Temple Entrance and the Bakery is the gate opening to the local Tavern and Inn, The Kyne's Keg. Within the Inn one will find further food, drink, and a place to rest one's head after celebrations at the Great Hall wind down, as well as a bathhouse and sauna.
- Clothier
- Heading north up the path after you pass the Great Hall on your right, you will come to the Clothier Shop. A variety of sewing utensils such as needles and colorful threads and yarns both locally spun and imported from outside of town are available to those working in the Clothier Shop. In addition to the various cloth and linens, an abundance of furs and leathers are on hand for barter or purchase. If you need your shirt mended, this would be a good place to start.
- Just next to the Clothier's Shop is the gate leading east out of the Borg to the Rowan Hills neighborhood. This is a relatively broad lane which is home to most of the larger houses with acreage. While many of the homes feature protective walls, the inhabitants, like the other villagers are likely to retreat to the Great Hall or Motherhouse in times of trouble.
- Carpenter and Blacksmith
- If you continue along the path, you will see a large stone well, sheltered with a wooden roof. On the west side of the path, past the Bakery, resides the Carpenter Shop and Blacksmith side by side. Next to the Carpenter Shop, lumber of local and imported trees is piled beside the structure under a roof to protect from the weather. Here, Ari Rigurtson works as a carpenter and is rather serious with one of the Keldora sisters.
- You will hear the ring of hammer on anvil at the Blacksmith to let you know you are in the right place to get your weapon or armor repaired, or your horses shod when a ferrier is on site. Inside the shop, there are tools and materials available and ready to work with. Gerbert Bastion works helping out with the horses. Like his brother, Treve, he had ambitions as a child of adventuring and glory. Rumor has it he hopes to be Huskarl.
- Owl Square Gate
- Just behind the Carpenter and Blacksmith, a small neighborhood known as Owl Square, consisting of private shops, can be found. Many of them are small but upscale and well cared for. The shops may be completely public or owner-occupied with sleeping accommodations.
- Herbalist and Enchanter
- The Apothecary Shop is across the street from the Blacksmith. Its wooden grid window panes are painted bright evergreen and are very hard to miss. Shelves are stocked with jars of reagents regularly from our suppliers and local gatherers, as well as rarer imported components. Lingering with the smell of Nirnroot the Apothecary Shop is perfect for those beginning or adept at their craft in alchemy and enchanting.
- Dock and Village Entrance
- Just past the Apothecary Shop you will find a gate to a forked path. The path on the right will take you to the Docks. Any import and export of Hofborg is done so at the Docks. The path on the left will take you to the Village side of town where the more rural and agricultural aspects of town life take place. Additionally Hofborg’s Bunkhouse is a short walk within the Village’s perimeter where the town’s workforce is housed as well as an adjacent stable.
- Brygg-Bottom is the name for the area of town that currently incorporates The Docks, the Wharf Rat, and Odd's End. This area of town is ran by The Saebjorn Crew. The back alley near Kyne's Keg leads to the Wharf Rat by way of alleyway passages through the back side of Owl Square, and is loosely considered to be part of Brygg-Bottom. Brygg-Bottom operates on an expanded ruleset, please read.
