'''Brief Description:''' The dockside tavern, the Wharf Rat, which has been nearly abandoned in the years since the harrowstorms, has been swept and set back to order. The new owner has rehung the tavern sign and the establishment is open for business. [Ella Keldora] is one of the Keldora girls who can be seen mostly in or around the Wharf Rat. She has a fierce and fiery personality and will be the first to encourage and/or antagonize a bar fight. Don't let her size and appearance fool you. She is not someone you want to meet in a dark alleyway down in Brygg-Bottom.

A variety of spirits, both local and imported, are served at the seaside tavern and meals typically consist of wild game [Arnith Rigurtson], one of the cooks, hunts himself. He can be found grilling and drinking in the open kitchen and staking his gold on games of chance and breaking up bar fights he probably had a hand in starting. Rumor has it he has leads on antiquities should you be of likemindedness. 

Don't dare knock over the bowl of seawater by the front door which is diligently freshened daily. Superstitious locals believe the basin ensnares wayward spirits drifting in from the Sea of Ghosts. And nobody wants apparitions set loose to cause havoc in their establishment.

;Tavern

: Rustic and ramshackle with an occasional rat lapping up spilled mead or swiping a crumb from a table, the tavern is often frequented by the local roughnecks and ne'er-do-wells. Whether it be a stiff drink or a broken nose, you’re sure to find both in able supply. Patrons who enter unawares of the usual ongoings within the shady establishment are given suspicious glares whereas the "regulars" are greeted like family.

It is here one will find [Graak]. He is an orc of majestic taste and craftsmanship. He is as good at brewing mead as he is serving it. Graak is quiet and keeps to himself, but he hears all the nonsense and rumors from drunken sailors' mouths. Rumor has it that he is willing to pay for some less desirable jobs in or around the town of Hofborg if one doesn't mind getting their hands bloody and sleeps well with a dirty conscience.

: Dregs slipping in from the Brygg-Bottom alley behind the more morally aligned Kyne's Keg are immediately greeted by a potent aroma of questionable substances. Perpetually shrouded in a thick haze which often proliferates throughout the pub, this cozy corner accommodates those who indulge in illicit contraband. Warm by the wood burning stove and flop on the thick furs and plush cushions and let yourself be entranced.

: Partied a little too hard and are in need of a place to crash? Or simply fresh off the docks and need a bed for the night before delving further into town? One will find a semi-clean and mildly comfortable bed on the upper floor for a low rate. The crew of the Saebjorn often flop here when they're fresh off the boat and too weary, or drunk, to make their way to the Bunkhouse. Try to ignore the snoring. Your complaints will not be well received.

;Cellar Warehouse

: Since coming under the control of the Saebjorn, the Wharf Rat cellar has been brimming with goods and wares from across the lands. But keep your nose out of where it doesn’t belong. Some goods of questionable origin might also briefly reside within the warehouse before moving out to destinations unknown. The bartender will mention that at least one of the "cells" isn't holding valuables, but rather moldy straw and a dank bucket - you know, until Crew morale improves.

[Jorm Grimtooth] is the one Jorm you will see in the Wharf Rat. He is mostly seen lingering downstairs, guarding over the stashed goods, smoking and drinking and grumbling about something. This Jorm is a loner outside of those he talks with in the guard, and is paid well by the Saebjorn to keep his yap shut about any shady business that might be going on within the establishment. He seems to have a bad attitude and is easily angered. Rumor has it he lost a loved one during the slaver attack on the town and is patiently waiting for revenge.
