As we learn about what does and doesn't need to be moderated in our community this guide will grow. For now we have only a few basic guidelines.
- MODERATE only to actual rule breaks. We do not censor, warn or punish anyone for anything unless there is an actual rule break. If we discover a rule needs to be created, it will be discussed with the Player Council and added to the wiki after everyone has been advised.
- MEDIATE to anything else. If two players have a disagreement over how things should have gone, and there is no actual rule break, all you can do is mediate to the best of your ability. Also, advise everyone that mediation requires both parties to seek an equitable resolution. If one party only wants the other party punished for perceived offense, and its not actually a rule break, then you can only do so much.
- RESPECT all the players involved. Staff should not be discussing a moderation issue in front of players.
