Talk:NPCs, Hofborg (Lore)

From Hofborg

Hofborg has approximately 50 NPC residents living in the town and working at the Temple. The Saebjorn has another 40 oarsmen NPCs who come and go with the ship. A number of the NPCs are represented in game with various ESO Houseguests. Each incarnation of a Houseguest is its own NPC with its own name and personality

Rigurtson Brothers

Rigurtson.jpg

The Rigurtsons, no relationship to Rigurt the Brash, are a family of Nords from Eastmarch who got into some trouble with the law and fled to Hofborg, never revealing the cause of the trouble to any. There are a number of the brothers living in Hofborg.

  • Ari Rigurtson works at the carpentry store in the Borg and is rather serious with one of the Keldora sisters.
  • Kvelddulf Rigurtson is in service to the Saebjorn and works in the Saebjorn Long Hall along with Treve Bastion and Inga Keldora, a cousin to "the Keldora Sisters".
  • Haf Rigurtson works at the Motherhouse as a sometimes guard and handyman. Haf suffers from a bad knee that has never healed right and is unable to do any significant manual labor so his job at the Temple keeps the medical costs low while offering him honest work.
  • Thorir Rigurtson is an excellent cook and is currently managing the Inn (Kyne's Keg) of Hofborg. Thorir dreams of one day meeting the ambassador, Rigurt the Brash - his hero.
  • the Bunkhouse
  • Cael Rigurtson can be found on the Docks working on ship repairs and keeping the rowdy crowd in check. He is a very large man with a kind heart but doesn't cross him. You'll find yourself in that open cell in the basement of the Warf Rat, eating moldy hay before you know it. Cael is rumored to be a fence, but that is, of course, only a rumor.
  • Arnith Rigurtson can be seen frequently at the Wharf Rat. He is a great cook who hunts all his own game. He can be found grilling and drinking in the open kitchens of the Wharf Rart and, staking his gold on games of chance and breaking up barfights he probably had a hand in starting. Rumor has it he has leads on antiquities should you be of likemindedness.

The Jorms

Jormnpc.png

Most of the town guard was lost during the slaver attack in the fall of 590. Those left chose to take the name Jorm in honor of Jorm Hakonson, who died in the attack. None of the Jorm were actually born with it as a first name.

  • Jorm Iron-Anvil works as the main guard in the Borg. Anvil is a man of average Nord height with long, straight, auburn hair shaved on both side and green eyes. Anvil has an unfinished dragon tattoo on his right foot - from a misspent youth.
  • Jorm Fanrissen works in the Longhall. Farissen is a taller Nord with a shaved head and long blonde beard. He has runic symbols inked in his head in tribute to fallen warriors.
  • Jorm Swift-Dawn works at the Temple. Swift-Dawn is said to be the most humble and patient of the Jorm. His larger and broader structure gives him the look of a giant bear but all who know him know he is the most friendly Nord you'd meet.
  • Jorm the Mumbling works in the Spirit Woods and is lightly allergic to milk. He tends to spend most days mumbling and smoking from different pipes. He claims to prophesy but none have yet to come true. Outsiders may find him hard to be around and often considered disturbed. Who knows, maybe he is?
  • Jorm Enralderson works at Kyne's Keg and considers himself a bit of a Skald. He has a selection of battered but functional instruments available for visitors to the inn for the low price of another horn of mead. He often flirts with the shield-maidens to the ends of which he finds a shield to his face.
  • Jorm Kjerssen is a member of The Saebjorn and guards the warehouse in the Bunkhouse. Kjerssen is quiet and dedicated to his work. You can see him cleaning up here and there as he watches he bunkhouse and keeps it safe from looters and rowdy drunkards. (Note: warehouse is moving out of the Bunkhouse to the Wharf Rat)
  • Jorm Salt-Vein is the Jorm who patrols the Docks. His personality leaves you at ease regardless of the rumored mess that part of the town he patrols is said to be.
  • Jorm Stonehearth watches over and keeps order in the Guard House. He is a friendly guy usually seen playing cards and talking with the detainees but don't cross him, or you'll likely find yourself in a cell.
  • Jorm Grimtooth is the one Jorm you will see in the Wharf Rat. He is mostly seen downstairs smoking and drinking and grumbling about something. This Jorm is a loner outside of those he talks with in the guard. He seems to have a bad attitude and is easily angered. Rumor has it he lost a loved one during the slaver attack on the town and is patiently waiting for revenge.
  • Jorm Bjorn-Gheist is the Jorm most likely seen patrolling the South Gate he is said to be very spiritual and quiet but often found muttering to the gods and giving passersby the side eye. He is very friendly if you offer him a drink though! Don't let the awkward guard deter you from learning his secrets!

Bastion Family

Bastion-npc.png

Imperial Bretons who lived in Bruma and work as bondservants.

  • Treve Bastion works in the Saebjorn Long Hall. Ever since he was a child Treve had dreamed of sailing the seas and adventuring new lands in search of treasure and glory. It's years later now and he's close but instead of sailing and adventuring he takes pleasure in serving at the Saebjorn Long Hall. Treve is of average Breton height with auburn hair and tawny eyes. He has pale skin that tans nicely usually giving him a bronze tone.
  • Gerbert Bastion works in the Borg helping out with the horses. Like his brother, Treve, he had ambitions as a child of adventuring and glory. He hopes with each passing day as he makes his way and serves at the Borg that he will be set free alongside his brother. Rumor has it he hopes to be Huskarl. Gerbert is of taller breton height with fiery red hair and green eyes. He is pale of complexion and often sunburned.

Keldora Family

Keldora-npc.png

A set of twins who have cousins who are remarkably similar in looks, has lived and worked in Hofborg their whole lives.

  • Inga Keldora one of the cousins who works in the Saebjorn Long Hall. She can be seen serving drinks and food with graceful strides as she sings songs of the ancestors and the gods. Often oblivious to the longing looks she gets from the interested towns people. Her wits are as strong as her voice but it's obvious this lass is beyond innocent in personality and appearance.
  • Brinya Keldora works at the bakery in the Borg. Brinya loves to bake and serve the townspeople of Hofborg. She is often very talkative and flirty but rumor has it that she's involved with the the stable boy. Don't forget to leave a tip in the box for your food if she isn't around and when you do see her, ask to try her apple-cinnamon pie!
  • Ella Keldora is one of the Keldora girls who can be seen mostly in or around the Wharf Rat she has a fierce and fiery personality and will be the first to encourage and/or antagonize a bar fight. Don't let her size and appearance fool you. She is not someone you want to meet in a dark alleyway down in Brygg-Bottom.

Ghrasharog Company

Ghrasharog-npc.png

A mercenary company of Orcs that adopt a matching surname to symbolize their bond. Most members often aren't privy to sharing their band's colorful history, but it's rumored they were from one of the few Orc strongholds in Skyrim, but left due to in-fighting. Now they're venturing off with the dream of one day founding their own stronghold.

  • Khaon is a taller and bulker orc compared to the others in his company. Khaon can be seen lending a hand at the Docks ask him about the story of his first ship ride.
  • Gadrol is one of the more social of the company. He will compliment you on your victories and bash you on your failures. He can be found drunk in the Borg and often hitting on the Keldora kin.
  • Lurbul is one of the Long Hall regulars and takes his mead with lots of honey. He can be seen most in the Saebjorn Long Hall
  • Makoac is the most outgoing orc you'll ever meet on this side of Skyrim. He can be found in the Inn (Kyne's Keg) there's a rumor that if you buy him a drink, he will fill you in on some town gossip.
  • Gogro is a devout Orc. He found favor and faith in Stuhn while serving in the Motherhouse and has not looked back since. These days he considers himself more Nord than Orc, which tends to cause conflict with some of his other kin.
  • Khamph is not the brightest of the Ghrasharog, but he can clean the best out of them! Khamph can be seen in the Bunkhouse ask him for help cleaning. He loves it.
  • Graak is an orc of majestic taste and craftsmanship found at the Wharf Rat he is as good at brewing mead as he is serving it. Graak is quiet and keeps to himself, but he hears all the nonsense and rumors from drunken sailors' mouths. Rumor has it that he is willing to pay for some less desirable jobs in or around the town of Hofborg if one doesn't mind getting their hands bloody and sleeps well with a dirty conscience.

The Ragpickers

Ragpicker-npc.png

This name refers to a group of Wood Elves who come in and out of town regularly. They are generally believed to be nomadic, and few of the residents know their names reliably, so they are collectively referred to by their title rather than their first names.

  • 'The Tailor' is one of the Ragpicker elves who can be seen around the Borg. Rumor has it that she works on the side for the Thorrstad Fiber Company.
  • 'The Fletcher' is another one of these elusive elves that can be seen around the Inn Kyne's Keg. If you happen to see the Fletcher, ask her about her Boyer skills.
  • 'The Fisher' is a little bit taller than her kin. She usually can be seen trying to unknot or retie the fishing line after getting it snagged or caught on who knows what? She may not be the best fisher in Tamriel, but she tries. She can be found around the Docks. Ask her about trading for fishing bait if you need some.
