Posting In to a Scene You are Joining (Guide)
From Hofborg
It's considered respectful to wait for those arriving on a scene to do their post first before you engage them in RP. In this way, each player can set the stage or expectations for their character, and then we respond to that. If you are struggling to write your introduction post you can ask the event leader for help.
However, sometimes a person isn't posting in and you wonder if they know the protocol or you get the feeling that they might need a *helping hand*. In these cases, it's okay to offer a vague post that gives the new player something to latch on to. Just be careful not to trap them into any role-play expectations they are not prepared for.
- Edit
- This goes for char's pets and companions as well. Feel free to ignore them unless they are brought into the RP by the player.
