Brief Description: The Great Hall is host to many feasts and celebrations as well as everyday life. Mead and food are shared as well as stories of battle and bravery. Walking past the threshold and into the Longhall you will find a basin filled with fresh clean water to refresh after your long travel. On either side of the foyer guest rooms await distinguished visitors. There is an upper level balcony of the Hall that houses space for weaving and other crafts as well as seating for friendly board games or leisure lounging. Inside the Hall, the kitchen is fully stocked and ready to prepare meals. Within the feast chamber a large stone fireplace keeps the Hall warm and cozy. Within this chamber Kvelddulf Rigurtson works while in the service of the Saebjorn.

Regularly on staff is Lurbul, one of the Ghrasharog Company who takes his mead with lots of honey. Leisurely strolling about the Great Hall, Jorm Fanrissen, a taller Nord with a shaved head and long blonde beard with runic symbols inked in his head in tribute to fallen warriors, is seen ensuring peace and order. And Inga Keldora can be seen serving drinks and food with graceful strides as she sings songs of the ancestors and the gods. Often oblivious to the longing looks she gets from the interested townspeople. Her wits are as strong as her voice but it's obvious this lass is beyond innocent in personality and appearance.

Guest Rooms

There are two guest suites at either side of the foyer upon entering the Hall that are typically reserved for special overnight guests, or utilized as changing rooms for those coming in out of the wet and cold. These guest bedrooms come with fresh linens and a warm fur blanket, goose down-feather pillows and a candle lantern by the bedside table. You will find adequate room for storing your personal belongings in the dressers and wardrobes. The fireplace will be stocked with fresh wood when you visit to make sure you are receiving the finest hospitality.

Kitchen

The kitchen is stocked with fresh fruit and food. There is always a kettle warming to make tea and a keg ready to pour mead and ale. The pot is on and the smell of traditional Nord food is usually lingering around the kitchen area. Vegetables from our gardens are stored in dry areas of the pantry along with our grains in cloth sacks. There are utensils and pots and pans at the ready for Treve Bastion to prepare meals. Ever since he was a child Treve had dreamed of sailing the seas and adventuring new lands in search of treasure and glory. It's years later now and he's close but instead of sailing and adventuring he takes pleasure in serving at the Great Hall.

Thane/Huskarl's Meeting Room and Lounge

On the opposite side of the feast chamber from the kitchen is the meeting room of the town Thane and his loyal Huskarl who handles town issues in the Thane’s stead. Various maps stacked on one of the shelves both of days of olde and new aid the Thane and Huskarl in how best to plan the town’s defense. Ledgers chronicle the day to day business and expenditures, and a census is maintained by the stewards so the Thane and Huskarl can be apprised of who comes and goes.
