Thorrstad is both the name of a clan as well as the name of a village. The village of Thorrstad is located in Eastmarch somewhere south of Bonestrewn Crest and north of Fort Amol. The Thorrstad clan living in and around the clan-holding are primarily sheep and goat herders. Most of the herds are kept for their wool with a lesser number butchered and sold for meat. The holding is also known for the {sheep steeds} it raises.

In Baene's father's day the holding exported mostly wool and mutton, along with some dairy goods produce from goat's milk. And while the hold was well known for its fine wool, it wasn't until Baene's marriage to Branwyn that the holding began to really produce reliable coin.

Branwyn was able to translate her mother's social connections into expanding the business into the mercantile side of things, while Baene and Larsa's willingness to take on dangerous and well paying mercenary jobs brought liquid assets into the business.

The holding is now "comfortably well off" and being ran by Baene and Branwyn's children.
